A great-great-granddaughter of California novelty architect Miles Minor Kellogg and of pork-packing poet Carl Milton Aldrich, Rachel Brupbacher has made a name for herself by blending her love of storytelling with a passion for reviving the past.

When not working on one of her “ancestor biographies,” Rachel composes essays and articles for a variety of online and print periodicals. These shorter pieces reflect her wide-ranging interests in agriculture, history, literature, and religion. She is a regular contributor to Farming Magazine, where her work has appeared alongside that of Wendell Berry and Barbara Kingsolver.
